Roar of Love
“Hear attentively the thunder of His voice, And the rumbling that comes from
His mouth. He sends it forth under the whole heaven, His lightning to the ends of the earth.” Job 37: 2-3
I was wondering at the “Hear Attentively” instruction, that too towards a thunder. Why would anyone miss out on hearing a thunder? It’s loud, evident, experiential, unambiguous and roaring. Oh, yes! we can miss out. We surely can miss out the thunder in a commotion, if we aren’t attentive.
The Lion’s Roar is Thundering. The Words of this Voice alone is going to do marvellous things in our lives. It’s the sound of the Lion that resonates in Heaven and Earth.
The Loving Roar of the Lion, quenches your fears, melts your mountains, shifts your atmosphere into Glory, tramples your foes, quickens your potential to hold onto Hope, wipes away your filth and transforms you wholly. Let the upheavals of this World not confuse you on His beautiful thunder of love. Heaven waits for you and me to Listen to the Thundering Roar of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.
“After the flash comes the deafening roar of His voice, the voice that thunders His majesty—The voice that resounds with no evidence of restraint, the voice of God that is thundering wondrously. He does magnificent things, beyond our comprehension.” Job 37: 4-5
When His Voice echoes loud and clear who can stop praising Him?
His Voice accomplishes the fruitfulness which mankind can never toil to produce.
His voice alone goes forth and turns chaos into order.
His voice shouts exponential increase which is seemingly unnatural.
His Voice rains down Glory into the heated souls and soothes their pain.
His VOICE – Our Shelter and Our Refuge! The Lion of the Tribe of Judah roars to tremble your concerns. When He moves, His paws lays down purposes that are irreversible. Purposes that will unfold not when you do anything, but when you ‘be’ His All.

He is Holy The Bible Reveals You and Your Lover You are the Reason
I can’t help but be reminded of the song “God’s No Dead” and the line “God’s not dead, He’s surely alive. He’s living on the inside, roaring like a lion!”

Such a beautiful and inspiring insight into the scriptures. Yes, he comes to us like loudly, like thunder, or gentle and quiet … it’s amazing that we can miss the loud roar. Well said.

We can miss the thunder when we’re too preoccupied with life. I think this is why God urges us to be still, sometimes He whispers instead and we can miss it.

I have to admit that Narnia and Aslan are really how I began to understand this truth. It’s great to see the verses all together that probably inspired CS Lewis and grasp just how Biblical it actually is.

Interesting post. I do think God’s voice is often very loud and that many have to go to extreme lengths to avoid it.

What a beauitful post. I like the idea of God being like a Lion. I also see what you mean about thinking how can anyone miss thunder but it’s amazing how distracted we can become with our worldly lives.

I appreciate your worshipful heart in this post. This verse reminds me of when Moses and the people trembled in fear from the fire and smoke coming from God’s holy mountain before he gave the ten commandments. We serve such a might God.
