It’s all about shifting our attitudes and actions from selfishness to selflessness. 

We all come to marriage or enter into any relationship with dreams and expectations. But what happens when our desires collide with those of our spouse, or friends; when the fulfillment of dreams fails to make us happy or circumstances change in unexpected ways? We can demand our own way, or we can use the opportunity to grow. We can choose to give up “childish ways.”

In 1 Corinthians 13, we learn that love is not a feeling or a reward to our spouse, friends, family, colleagues for good behavior. Love is choosing to think of what is best for someone else.
