“The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some consider slowness. Rather, He is being patient toward you—.” 2 Peter 3:9
If we are truly waiting on the Lord we will be at total peace, our joy complete and faith whole.
It comes from a place of an unwavering trust in a Father who is Good, Perfect, Loving and Faithful. Having full assurance that He is always on time, makes every waiting moments as an “evidence of the things unseen”. You start envisioning, you start preparing, you work out on believing and thanking God in advance for the best He will bring.
Human frailty is another thing that gets between God’s words of assurance and our own words and thoughts. When we realize how feeble we are in facing difficulties, the difficulties become like giants, we become like grasshoppers, and God seems to be nonexistent. But remember God’s assurance to us— “I will never…forsake you.” Have we learned to sing after hearing God’s keynote? Are we continually filled with enough courage to say, “The Lord is my helper,” or are we yielding to fears and doubts?
Let this day bring in grace to know that it’s worth going through a process of struggle. Let mercy wrap us to know God has not given up on us even when we feel like giving upon ourselves.
