14-Dec-2017: David’s Victory

“Then David said, “Adonai, who has delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” – 1 Samuel 17: 37

The strength God pours out on you, in YOUR PERSONAL time with Him, is very different from someone else’s anointing and strength. There is greatness inside of you which none in this whole world can ever attain. If you are called to lead, invest on being a leader and follow authority with absolute humility. If you are called to sing, invest in yourself and give determined training to your vocal chords. If you are called to design, work on it by broadening your knowledge and skills diligently. If you are called to write, you better be a good reader and enhance your vocabulary. If you are called to be a speaker, set aside time and prepare messages that motivate others by persistently applying it in your own life. If you are called to serve, keenly carry out your services without expectations.

Beloved, you will surely rise to a place of significance among the audience of Heaven. Trusting Him certainly will mantle you with wisdom to pick up some smooth pebbles and carry a sling to throw at your giants, that mock and threaten you. Above all, you will be content in who you are in the eyes of God, and will step out irrespective of cheers and discouragements.

Your biggest victory will come in fighting the lion and the bear when no one is watching or cheering. Once those victories are assured, a shot at the Goliath who mocks at Your God’s majesty, will be no big deal.

  1. Yes, being faithful in little when no one is looking opens the door for MORE. I’ve shared this many times with my worship team. First we worship in private; out of the overflow of that, we lead corporate worship. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

  2. “Above all, you will be content in who you are in the eyes of God, and will step out irrespective of cheers and discouragements.” Oh, how I pray to remember this daily! I pray I don’t seek the approval of others, or hear the disapproval of mockers. I pray to remember our “small” is huge for the kingdom of heaven! Where God ordains me, I pray to only do it for His glory! ❤
