4-Jul-2017 : Drum it

“…….but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.” – Philippians 3: 13-14

There is a heavenly prize to every daily effort we make, to not look back to our past, those hurts, those good old times we still yearn, those wounds, those betrayals, dissapointments, the breakups and missed opportunities. Keep moving forward into His perfection, and see how every concerns of yours are perfected by Him who has possessed you wholly and lovingly. As you keep moving forward in grace, only long to hear His Applause; to feel His Presence; and to see His Faithfulness. You will never cringe when He is all that your heart beats for.

Moving forward into His purposes will always make you aware of His righteousness engraved on your soul, spirit and body. In your righteousness, you will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for His own glory (Isaiah 61:3). Just for you to know, oak is used in the making of professional drums. The higher density of oak gives the drum a brighter and louder tone compared to traditional drum materials such as maple and birch. What kind of tone do you want to beat for the World to hear and savor? The heartbeat of God, or the temporary filthy music that brings Him no Glory? Let Him plant you like an oak, so that you can drum forth the tones of His Songs. So forget the past and it’s temporary grandeur, and embrace the uncontaminated riches of the Blessing of Obedience.
