“Fix my eyes on God— soon I’ll be praising again.
He puts a smile on my face. He’s my God.” Ps.42:5
Sometimes smiling is an act of defiance against what’s pressing down hard. Sometimes smiling is an act of sheer bravery.
Sometimes smiling in brokenness is how we remember: We are the Resurrection People & there is more happening than what seems & we practice our faith.
Practice Smiling. Practice Joy. Practice counting gifts. For it’s in praising our Savior in all things that we are saved from discouragement in all things.
Praise punches fear in the face, pulls down any mountain in front of you, plows a way through. A sacrifice of thanks lays down our perspective — and raises hands in praise anyways —always.
“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1
