26-Nov-2017: Promise
Luke 1:38 Mary said, “I am the Lord’s servant, and I am willing to do whatever he wants. May everything you said come true.” And then the angel disappeared.
“It takes humility to nurture something that is beyond your understanding while counting it all as joy. Mary’s response to God’s word – the song she sang once she learned what she’d been asked to do – can light our way. It held joy and humility close together. She was undone. She had not sought for greatness. Her celebration grew from brokenness. Part of her may have wanted to run from this promise that was too great for comprehension, but instead she said YES” – Heidi Baker
There is a promise that you have to nurture and guard even when you have no clue about its magnificence or significance.

I can’t remember exactly where, maybe on Pinterest, I once read that if something is well within your ability and comprehension, it probably isn’t what God wants you to do. xoxo

What a great line -“It takes humility to nurture something that is beyond your understanding while counting it all as joy”. I believe this takes spiritual maturity to have the faith and joy this statement describes.
