25-Oct-2017: Holds Your Hand
“Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth.” Psalms 73:23-25
Very recently someone brought up a past incident, which I always thought I would never for once be able to face it. There was rejection, despise, and moreover betrayal to a genuine love of friendship.
Today, as I was taken into the past moment, I realized no hurt, no ache and absolutely no unforgiveness remained. Not because the person’s actions then or now was justifiable. But the highlight of it all was how He seemed to be present in the center of this situation holding my right hand and telling me, “Sometimes all it takes is time, be generous with it to everyone who wants to prick, hurt and stab you”.
When our desire is for nothing but Jesus, there is a shield that wraps us guarding the core of our emotions. His presence keeps us intact when everything around is deliberately shaking us apart and wants to put us into guilt, bitterness or disgrace. When the past wants to humiliate you, remember God has your hand on His, leading you to your glorious destination.
