26-Oct-2017: One Family

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all in one accord in one place – Acts 2:1

God purchased us from doom to bloom; so that we become a part of His family. The old is gone and behold there is something new that has unfolded- Oneness: Family.

In a family, when there are conflicts and disagreements, true love, in time binds the heart of each other to let go of pride, and embrace one another unconditionally. That’s the God-kind of family on earth. We let those irritable bit to be seen as rubbish compared to the joy of togetherness.

The Holy Spirit unleashes Himself when He sees that Oneness dwell in each of us. Because, the Father is a family person. The Spirit of the Father empowers us in fullness when we all live understanding that we belong to Him and each other. He takes over, “when together we are with one voice glorifying the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 15:6).

In a family, we seek to lift up one another to their full potentiality. We hold each other’s hand and rise. We don’t demean and disgrace. We grow into maturity with each other. When trials come we stick closer, firm and full of love. Let the Father’s heart rejoice seeing us forgive, love and encourage one another.

  1. A couple years ago, I had the great opportunity to visit the Upper Room in Jerusalem. Our group sang some worship songs and had communion there. It was such a sweet time together with other believers. Your post reminded me of that moment, and of Acts 2 where Holy Spirit was unleashed as Christians waited in one accord. Unity is where the Lord COMMANDS blessing; it displays the heart of Father God. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I wish we would spend as much time loving and defending each other like brothers and sisters instead of just fighting like siblings.
