31-Oct-2017: Separation vs Disconnection

I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. – John 17:21

Not everything we see, assume, perceive or hear about has to be the absolute truth. Behind every seen, tangible things and hearings, lies an unseen reality. The Only person who knows it wholly is Jesus.

There are people who say, “God asked me to stay away from this person because they aren’t good”. Jesus should have been the first person to stay away from His disciples, especially Judas. He never did so. Even if God reveals a person’s sin to you, (which I believe He would never do unless you have His heart and are a true friend to Him) He would also give you grace to love that person out of his/her sin, weaknesses, insecurities and guilt.

Yes, there is separation from darkness but that isn’t justified with hatred, judgement, bitterness, jealousy or abandonment. When Abraham had to separate from Lot, he was convinced they both wouldn’t do well under one roof, so he let him go. The separation was for peace but not for disconnection.

Abraham connected with Lot quiet regularly that He was the first person whom God informed about his plans to destroy SODOM. We need to understand the difference between separation and disconnection. Just because parents got divorced the child doesn’t have to disconnect from either of them. Disciples had to separate themselves from each other for the spreading of the gospel, but the love that bound them made them One. Due to this wherever they went miracles spilled over beyond fathom. The world will know the significance of Yeshua, when we stay close knitted in love for one another.

We disconnect because of a sin we have pampered in our hearts. It could be pride, bitterness, jealousy, ignorance, injustice or partiality. I wonder how much we, children of God lose out; when we completely cut off from one another in our hearts due to these mentioned. Bearing with one another is God’s will for each of us. Heaven is going to be packed and many people whom you can’t stand now, you need to reconnect, because they too have their names written in the Book of Life.

Jesus never gets the glory when a God birthed friendship unties it’s bonding of love because of selfishness,. We are responsible and a stepping stone of success for one another. Sometimes when reconciliations takes too long, for the sake of obedience, pray for the person who irritated, hurt and betrayed you. Love utmost in prayer, because you will never want to find a reason to stop loving a person who is a part of your daily prayers.
