And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]. – Philippians 4:7
Whenever I have felt way beyond normal; this verse pops up. I keep telling God then, “I just don’t have any peace”. With a sigh, I go to sleep. The giant still snarling at me the next morning, I wake up with a cringe.
But, this peace will guard my mind and heart as a weapon against the uncircumsiced Philistine. Even to face your Goliaths, you need to know there is Peace by your side and inside you.
And, at times peace comes in like a flood when we let go our right to be right in control. You would never understand why letting go of all that isn’t His pleasure will soon let Peace invade your life. Just like the bread and fish multiplied as the disciples distributed them, His peace will multiply and guard you when everything around screams, “Impossible”.
