“Peter began to say to him, “See, we have left everything and followed you.” Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, … ” Mark 10:28-30
Recently I was thinking of all those instances where I had to let go of hurts, rejections, denials, betrayals, and much more, like the “not” God-kind of love.
Following Jesus is always a road that we have to take by keep our faith fueling. If this faith dims out an ounce from its originality for our particular season, we will eventually compromise and succumb to all that the World justifies, disregarding the gospel of Jesus.
Beloved, everything that we have ever given up and given into; precious ones and moments, abandoned surrender, a comfortable life, sacrifices, unforgiveness, retaliation to the wrongs done to us, going an extra mile; Jesus speaks a promise into those moments as an assuring and tangible reward – 100 folds here in this lifetime.
Let us not lose hope, for He’s still Good and God in our waiting and hurts. The One who rebuked the storm; will look to you and silence your wild moments and self. Problems and unworthiness will not stay as a part of you, because He never tolerated them for once.
Kingdom of God comes against the evil; when you die, go low and give without expectations. Do all that you can to reflect the Father’s heart. You are always among the one that He went out looking for. Child of God, you will never be a part of the ninety-nine. So precious and delicate, the Father will always hold you on His shoulder. So don’t contemplate on letting go off anything for embracing His love and standards.
