“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” – Genesis 50:20
Ask God to show you dreams of His written and intended purpose for your life. Joseph saw it, experienced it and believed it. He knew His God wouldn’t lie and He knew deep within, that what He saw was the truth that will one day unfold. He knew and kept on knowing His God.
It was His vision that stopped Him from any sorts of retaliation, and giving into temptation. Even being a slave He excelled! He remained still in the Presence of the One who carved greatness in his heart. If you and I are firm in believing that greatness, beyond limit, is our portion as a Child of God; we wouldn’t compromise on the present situations. We will honor Him, forgive others, flaunt in our God-given skills in opposed moments and stay rock-bottom to His will everyday.
Even while Joseph was thrown into the pit, he not for once screamed, yelled or demanded an answer from his brothers. He was quiet. He understood their evil intentions and let go everything into the hands of the God who carved dreams of greatness in his heart.
Evil sneaks to devour our peace every time. It could be in any form, and sometimes in the most alarming manner. But, if we have treasured the God-designed vision in the depths of our hearts, we will never stop being our best for Him.
