Cross Over

For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed over, just as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed over. This is so that all the people of the earth may know that the Lord ’s hand is mighty, and so that you may always fear the Lord your God.” Joshua 4:23‭-‬24

God is drying up some unpleasant circumstances just for you to cross over. Those problems as monstrous as they may look will not overtake you. Look back and see what all God has dried up in your lives, so that they don’t consume or vanquish you.

These Promises aren’t unconditional like His love and forgiveness. There is one little step of obedience, a tiny gesture to faith and a solid determination to pursuing His heart.

Problems didn’t dry up for the Israelites as long as they were in the land of slavery. There could be something that still enslaves us. One step out of it, begins to dry out many other problems that inevitably seems to linger around. Waiting in His process for promises to unfold is divine. But waiting in the delay of subtle disobediences, ignorance and passiveness aren’t a part of his desire for you. Every step toward your God-desired promise, takes an effort of love for Him. That effort seems very light and smooth when we have dwelt on His love and purposes for us, personally.

As the gift of today is before us, may we be filled with grace and wisdom to hold onto the beauty of His Word and stay committed to His pleasure. Then, with our own eyes we will see the might of His power working on our behalf and drying up all of those roaring waves and winds. His desire for you is to Cross-over with the resurrection power of Christ in You!

  1. I. Love. This. God is so amazing and He cares what we are going through. And He doesn’t just care, He has a plan to get us to the other side. Such a great reminder.

  2. “Every step toward your God-desired promise, takes an effort of love for Him. ” – Yes! God wants us to love Him and pursue Him so that He can lavish us with His promises but we have to choose it. Such an important reminder!
