Purpose and Separation

And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the evening (night), and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years – Genesis 1:14

Evening serves it’s purpose and morning the same. Even though the sun’s brightness is undoubtedly magnificent, the breeze of the evening is much awaited.  None of us can put a finger and say, “You are better. You are useless. You have no purpose. You don’t seem good.”

Think about this, if it was scorching heat throughout (24/7), the only good would be, the “no need” to switch on the lights in the houses. But the Air Conditioner will be switched on forever too. What an imbalance would all of us have faced, in every manner? God did this separation of morning and evening only so that a specific, good and honorable purpose is served.

Just like that, each of us have a purpose. In the family of Christ, we still see separation happening, not because one set is better than the other. When one bunch is serving the purpose of shining bright as the sun, the other array is equally important to bring in soothing, calmness, quietness and relaxation. Whatever is useful to His Kingdom, He separates to serve its distinct design.

There is never a time when you are “not needed”. Your purpose has a place in everyday that unfolds. Today too! Know what God has separated you from and for, then it’s easy to walk in your design, with His help.
