“but our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject everything to Himself.” Philippians‬ ‭3:20-21‬ ‭

When we go to another house, we are very cautious. We don’t sit anyhow, talk anyhow or behave anyhow.

Why? Because it’s someone else’s home. We leave their house just like that way we got in. We don’t look at their attractive bits and plan to elope with them. Similarly, our stay here in this world isn’t going to be for too long. Because, this isn’t Home!

“For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:10‬ ‭

Sin, compromises, diluted truths, religion, rituals, and qualifications are isn’t a part of our Home. The practicality, the logic, the wit and titles are all the belongings of this world. Many at times, they look extremely wonderful for a deep desire. But, we are pilgrims and we take only what is destined for us to take and experience.

Dear friends, I urge you as strangers and temporary residents to abstain from fleshly desires that war against you.” 1 Peter‬ ‭2:11‬ ‭

We stay strangers to the glams and demands of this World, because the joy in our Home is exceedingly gratifying. With such an understanding, comes meekness, where we are setting up for inheriting the good things, God has lavished in His grace into this earth.

These all died in faith without having received the promises, but they saw them from a distance, greeted them, and confessed that they were foreigners and temporary residents on the earth. Now those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. If they were thinking about where they came from, they would have had an opportunity to return. But they now desire a better place — a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:13-16‬ ‭
