Look Above

“Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God.” Colossians‬ ‭3:2-3‬ ‭

The things above convey one of the most important assurance that we need to daily run our race. ”You are accepted”. The self that tells you, ”Nobody loves me”, is dead, and will never make it to heaven. The world accepts your to-do list, but the life that is hidden in Christ doesn’t need it.

Soon after Jesus came out of the water baptised, the Father said, ”My SON in whom I am well PLEASED”. That’s a remarkable notion. This Father’s voice still echoes to us, and we just have to believe it. Even before Jesus did anything extraordinary, Daddy in Heaven was pleased with Him.

Even before the foundations of the earth, He’s pleased with you. You belong not because of anything tangible, but because He adores you. You can do nothing to make Him accept you more, because you can never measure what He already has for you.

Which Prince lacks the best? Don’t forget where you belong and to whom you belong.

  1. “Even before the foundations of the earth, He’s pleased with you. You belong not because of anything tangible, but because He adores you. You can do nothing to make Him accept you more, because you can never measure what He already has for you.” I love it!

  2. As a child of the King and an ambassador of Christ to the world, all too often we get so focused on the responsibilities of our calling in life. We have to take a moment every now and again to remember the benefits and privileges that come with it primarily, a relationship with Christ and direct access to the throne room of God in prayer.
