“To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.” – Isaiah 61:3
There is this strange uneasiness that happens when we have to put up with an irritation, provocation, failure and miserableness. Some of us can lose our cool very easily and others are trying hard to be sane amidst those.
Let’s look into it a little deeper. If those uneasy feelings often causes us to hold onto retaliation and judgmental thoughts then we really have a problem in understanding that God has everything in His control. Moreover, He uses these uneasy and hurtful instances to make beauty emerge out.
Grace not only works when the so called “good” is evidential. It also works to mold us through the refiner’s fire, so that we are reflecting no one but Him. When God stretches us let’s just tell ourselves to calm down and know that He is God. When we tend to lose it all, let’s quickly run to the throne of grace. Right there we will be unclothed of the victim mindset, so to be clothed with the authority of Christ.
