The Woman with the issue of blood didn’t just wake up one day and decide to grasp the helm of Jesus’ garment.
She observed Him, followed Him, heard of Him, heard from Him and had a close watch on Him in the midst of her sickness and lack. That’s where her faith arose. That’s how she decided to touch his garment.
There is a prophesy by Zechariah:
“Thus says ADONAI -Tzva’ot, “In those days it will come to pass that ten men from every language of the nations will grasp the corner of the garment of a Jew saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”” Zechariah 8:23
This prophecy was partially fulfilled when the lady touched the corner of Jesus’ garment and believed that this one touch will bring her wholeness and total healing. It’s also a “restart” pathway of her life. Whatever she lost, through this one touch, there is hope for restoration.
You and I would have some areas of immense depravity just like this woman. But, the Word of God in us sharpens our faith to believe in the impossible. This lady tried every way to her wholeness. She should have believed that there is zero hope. But, seeing Jesus; her spirit couldn’t help but rise up to trust, that with Him she wouldn’t stay the way she was.
