“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.” – John 15:9
It’s pretty easy to give away something or let go of someone whom / (that) you no more love.
Recently, we had so many families leaving places to fulfill their God-given destiny in other places. But a few among them mean a lot, and letting them go was like letting an emptiness come in.
Friends-who have been known to us for two, three, ten or even more years-are hard to part. What would have been the Father’s ache in letting go of His Son? His emotions aren’t like ours, but when His One and Only Son was taking form into limitedness and succumbed to torture and death; it was agonizing to the Father.
His Love for Himself (triune God) was so great that He chose to die for you by giving His Beloved Son. Just so that we could be given back the glory that wrapped us in the beginning, and be joined to Him forever. Let us love ourselves enough with the Love of Christ, that we lay down our lives to be a telescope of His Glory.
