“[we pray that you may be] strengthened and invigorated with all power, according to His glorious might, to attain every kind of endurance and patience with joy;” COLOSSIANS 1:11
To be strengthened is to be furnished by the grace of God for every good work, and fortified by that grace against every evil one. It’s to be enabled to do our duty, and still hold fast our integrity. (Matthew Henry’s Commentary)
When we are able to fulfill our responsibilities by bringing Him pleasure; and guard our innocence through the ups and downs; we enjoy a grace, that is more than sufficient to meet every need of ours.
How do we do this? By HIS GLORIOUS POWER. We are called to seek after, pursue and receive this magnificent power of The Holy Spirit through His Word.
Let His strength equip us to bear and to wait through our difficulties. Yes, it’s hard and extremely tiresome. But, sink deep to those promises and know, you aren’t far from tangibly experiencing the goodness of Heaven in the form of order, more than sufficiency, and peace.
