What are we dreaming about?
“Now to Him who is able to do far beyond all that we ask or imagine, by means of His power that works in us,” Ephesians 3:20
We know that God’s dream for us is exponentially bigger. Our mind cannot fathom those. But, how close are our dreams to God?
Yes, we have very little or no idea of what God wants to do in our lives. Dreaming big honors God. But are we dreaming about our well-being; about our significance, about our promotion, about our wedding to-do lists, about our fantasies and about ourselves?
It’s good to dream all of these; but are they all going to be for us? Our likable-people? And, our kids? Are we willing to take the responsibility of stepping out of our ‘known-zone’ into the unknown set of people and share Christ?
It’s not just talking Christ, but refraining to react negatively when you have the opportunity. It’s to sow a good seed when insults are hurled from every corner. It’s walking that extra mile in the cold when you have to cover another person with your tunic.
God wants to load us with His goodness and that is to eliminate evil, not to just give us a comfortable place of be looked up to. Our dreams matter, for only the destination He painted on the canvas of our lives is far greater and beautiful.
Let not our blessings confine with our circle but bring an impact of His Kingdom. Let’s not give up easily. Let’s not allow His goodness to be momentarily tangible; but be perpetual through our willing surrender. Let’s not be foolish while carrying out our responsibilities when no one’s watching.
Let’s not just wonder how big His dream is for us but how wonderful they are when fulfilled through us. Our greater works emerge from our dreams that breathe the life of God. As long as our dreams are not of the Kingdom lifestyle, they fade and become momentary; not eternal.
