““I can do nothing on my own initiative or authority. Just as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just (fair, righteous, unbiased), because I do not seek My own will, but only the will of Him who sent Me.” JOHN 5:30
In Christendom it really doesn’t matter what the other person does or doesn’t do, it doesn’t matter if your circumstances are right or wrong, it’s also not about you being your defender or having your wants met.
It’s all about what would please God? – Is it your reactions to the external or your response to His Word? Is it your forgiveness or your resentment? Is it your right to be justified or your calmness when you are wronged? Is it your hard work or your faith in God who enables you to work hard? Is it appreciations or your faithfulness?
The World and everyone who is emotionally attached to you might slip into advising you to be your own spokesperson. But that’s not what Jesus taught. He said, “I do not do anything on my own. All I do or say is what I hear the Father do and say”.
Couldn’t he have asked His Boss, “Why am I supposed to die for these reckless people? Why would I clean up the mess that they wouldn’t be ashamed to make happen over and over? Why would I take the wrath when I am flawless? Why would I have to go though separation from you for people who wouldn’t ever realize our worth and love for them?”
Exemplify Jesus’ endurance, love and commitment towards the One whom He called Father. Because no reward has a hope to last apart from the reward of the Father. This reward chases anyone who lets Jesus love through them willingly and patiently.
My friend, it’s not about you. I am sorry, don’t be offended. It’s about Him. You glorify Him, He will magnify His goodness for you and through you.
